Our average scaled score in reading was 103.2 and maths was 102.1.

4% of children achieved a high level of attainment in reading, writing and maths.

Based on our analysis of our Key Stage 2 results we are doing the following to ensure improvements in 2016 in addition to those outlined in our school improvement plan.

  • Reading intervention to close the gap for children who are working within or just below the national standard with particular reference to children who had middle prior attainment (2b/2a at KS1).
  • We have introduced Accelerated Reader to further promote reader resilience and understanding, and carried out further training linked to issues identified during analysis.
  • We are focusing strongly in mathematics on understanding of key vocabulary and problem solving strategies.
  • Small group focused interventions across the school for pupils identified as making slower progress or not attaining at age related expectations. All Year 6 pupils to receive small group targeted intervention.
