73% of children made a good level of development in Reception 77% of children passed their phonics in Year 1. In Year 2, 81% of children made the national standard in reading, 76% in maths and 76% in writing.
At Key stage 2 60% of children made the national standard in reading compared to 66% nationally In writing 92% made the national standard compared to 74% nationally (teacher assessment) In maths 72% made the national standard compared to 70% In GPS 72% made the national standard compared to 72% nationally.
Overall 52% of children made the national standard in reading, writing and maths combined compared to 53% nationally.
Progress at Key Stage 2
In 2016, our reading progress measure based on Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 SATS results was -0.6 which means that pupils at Hunwick Primary made broadly average progress at Key Stage 2 compared to those pupils with similar prior attainment nationally.
In writing our average progress measure was 2.1 which means that our pupils do better than those children with similar prior attainment nationally.
In maths our average progress measure was -0.9 which means that pupils at Hunwick Primary made slightly less than average progress at Key Stage 2 compared to those pupils with similar prior attainment nationally.
In 2016 at Key Stage 2
Our average scaled score in reading was 103.2 and maths was 102.1.
4% of children achieved a high level of attainment in reading, writing and maths.
Based on our analysis of our Key Stage 2 results we are doing the following to ensure improvements in 2016 in addition to those outlined in our school improvement plan.
