Connecting to Google Classroom

If you are using a laptop or computer running Windows, MacOS or Linux then you access Classroom through the web browser. The best browser to use to access Classroom and the other Google services is Google Chrome.

If you are using an Apple or Android tablet or phone then you can download the Google Classroom app from the app store.

Click the links below to download the apps for your device.

Loggining In

  • Go to http://classroom.hunwickprimary.org.uk
  • Log into your school email address. This is your full name without any spaces followed by @hunwickprimaryschool.org.uk
  • Your password will have been provided by your teacher and is the same as you use for the Chromebooks in school.
  • If you dont know your login then please contact your teachers using the links at the bottom of this page.

Multiple Accounts on the Same Devce

It's possible that you can have more than one Google account on the device that you are using. You will need to make sure that you are using your account when you access Google Classroom or other apps. If you don't then you might get Access Denied error messages.

To check which account you are using you should tap or click th user icon at the top right of the screen or app. If you havent changed it then it will probably be a letter or your initial.

From there you will be able to select from the accounts on the device or add another account.

If you are using Google Chrome then you can have multiple profiles so that each person in the household can have their own settings, bookmarks and accounts. You can use school account for this purpose if you want. For more information click the link below.

Amazon/Kindle Devices

If you have an Amazon device then you won't be able easilly install the Google apps. (Google and Amazon don't like each other.) But you can still use the Silk browser to access Google classroom. However you would not be able to access Google Meet for live lessons and calls.

Other Devices

If you have any other devices such as a PS4/5, Xbox or anything that has a web browser then you will be able to access Google Classroom using the browser. But it is unlikely that Google Meet would work on these devices.
